Train Ride in the Alps
On a reccomendation from a friend, we decided to take a train ride around Switzerland. Our journey took us through the following places. Basel, Zurich, Chur, Brig, Lausanne, and many others along the way. The view of the Alps is amazing! Now that December is here, they are covered with plenty of snow. The scenery looks like a post card, or something you would see on television. Winter or summer, you must go on this tour when you visit. The trains are comfortable and they serve beer! This is a fantastic trip that you shouldn't miss - We'll show you the ropes! You can find our pictures from the ride here.

I took the train from Dijon France to Lausanne once. (You have to get a first class ticket for the best view, which took me a while to figure out how to say in French) It was the best scenery I've ever seen, especially the cow on the roof of that house we passed. The trip to the Eiger mountain was also very nice - private rail line though, had to pay extra for that.

In honor of NEO, and snow we got this morning, I wore my swiss ski hat to work today. I've had it for almost 25 years now, and only wore it a few times. I picked it up when I was in switzerland travelling with my parents in 1981 while I was stationed in Baumholder, West Germany. Entering the names on the hat and the pin I attached to it into Google, I get the following links:

I'd recommend this this area to visit, though it is a tourist trap already and probably still quite pricy.
